I highly recommend Mr Marcus Cope and Renacres Hall Hospital , as I have had a hip replacement and a knee replacement. Both operations were very satisfactory and I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Cope and his marvellous team at Renacres Hospital. Adam Thompson

just a short note to thanks Mr Cope for transforming my life !! appreciate this may sound dramatic to some, but I can assure you it is no exaggeration. I like to think myself as a young 53 year old & pretty fit & energetic though for last 10 tears have suffered from acute arthritis of the hip. which had got to the stage where my quality of life had been greatly reduced due to pain encountered in the most everyday tasks as getting out of a chair, walking my dog , even putting socks on ! Pleased to report have just had a check up this morning with Mr Cope post a hip replacement two months ago and all is great & was pleased to inform him I was already do an hour each morning on cross trainer in the gym amongst other things, with no pain. so a great big thank you to Mr Cope & his team for the very professional treatment & the tremendous results

I had a total hip replacement in May 2021 and recovered quickly and fully. However, one month later, I developed a serious infection in my leg. I was readmitted to Renacres Hall Hospital as an emergency, under the care of Mr Marcus Cope. He operated again to wash out my hip to remove an infected haematoma. He saw me frequently during my 3 week stay and prescribed IV and oral antibiotics and directed and monitored my wound care. I could not praise Mr Cope highly enough for the excellent care and attention I received. At all times, Mr Cope was knowledgeable, professional, understanding and extremely thorough. He encouraged my questions and gave regular updates and expectations, using plain language and not medical jargon. I found Mr Cope to be approachable, patient, and attentive and I had every confidence in the care he directed and administered. He never missed a beat, and was personally involved in all aspects of my care. He kept me informed of my progress and prognosis at all times, and I have had total confidence in the care I received.

I have recently had a full hip replacement with Mr Cope and I am now just under 6 weeks post op. From first meeting him I felt reassured, understood and respected. He was and is open and honest, approachable and knowledgable in his chosen field. He explained everything fully, so much so that when he asked if I had any questions I did not, as I felt I had a good understanding of the procedure I was about to have done. I also got excellent literature that explained my procedure and what to expect before, during and after my operation. He has a bedside manner that is warm and reassuring. I felt in good hands. I have just had my first post op appointment today and as usual Mr Cope was reassuring, showed me pictures of my new hip and explained how things should progress. I already have a life that is better than before and can only see this improving. I am excited to have my life back. I have felt supported all through my journey and my hip replacement operation, and know that support is still there while I recover further. I feel lucky and privileged to have had Mr Cope as my Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and would recommend his services to others.
